Being chosen is a powerful theme.  God has chosen each of us for different purposes and different paths; we have been chosen from the moment God created us.  Today we not only celebrate Jesus' baptism, but also to remember that we all have been baptized, blessed and called by God.  We are all God's beloved, and God is pleased when we recognize and respond to our creation and call.
